Few words to say 10.6.7 upgrade went fine using combo upgrade,as usually changing pmversion=0 before rebooting.
The xbench benchmark seems to be much better than 10.6.6 upgrade concerning OpenGL. Ethernet plugging is no more buggy as it was previously and concerning Bluetooth after patching the kext it seems to run much better than any SL version.

I upgraded my eeepc to 10.6.5 tonight. It runs alright ,beware puting pmVersion=0 to com.apple.boot.plist before restarting, but sleep doesn't work no more even after upgrading the Sleepenabler.kext provided by kexts.com
Obviously ethernet, bluetooth no more working anymore I patched them. Here's the link for those who are interested in: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?u5pbagi0i23w45q
I added AppleIntegrateFramebuffer and AppleIntelGM950 in it.
Nevertheless if anybody had a clue for lid sleep I'd be really grateful.

following problem:
normally i set the hotkeys Win+F10 'till F12 for volume control with Spark.
so if i press win + f11 volume goes down, if i hold f11 it goes faster etc..

BUT i dont know why because on further installs it worked, if i hold down win+f12 nothing happens.. i was searching and i think it has to do with the eject function that this key has on macbooks without extra eject key. therefore if you hold f12 more then a second it would eject your cd/DVD. this function blocks my volume control.. could this problem caused by the Enable Remote CD - Function of NBI? or do you know any way to disable this eject feature??

Hi, I found this battery app 'Watts' at www.binarytricks.com.

Unlike other battery utilities, it works really well with the hackintosh. You can use it to calibrate your battery or even replace the default battery display at the menu bar.

Google around, you may even be able to find a 'free' version.

Few words to say about my 10.6.4 combo upgrade:
First Warning and to clarify things like I saw over many forums and sites ,if you upgrade from 10.6.3 to 10.6.4 REMOVE sleepenabler.kext it causes KP over my 1000HE and replace it to "the generic" one provided from insanelymac.
Kernel doesn't need to be patched in order to boot.
Wifi is not detected anymore (but it is a Broadcom) means I had to modify IONetworkingfamily.kext in order to make it work.
Here is the link: http://www.mediafire.com/file/ndywdcnnkgd/IONetworkingFamily.kext.zip Use it with caution if you don't have the same wifi card as mine.

Hey guys,

i've just re-installed my snow leopard partition. Here's my dilemma:

1. Blue Tooth is not working correctly
2. Battery is not showing up properly.
I'm getting the "service battery" message and the battery is fine (~4.5 hours in windows 7).
3. Power management might not be working correctly. The battery indicated that i have says the battery will only last for about 2 hours.

I'm really sick of troubleshooting this minor problem.

I have a 1000H with 2 gigs of ram. Would someone with the same, but working setup be willing to zip up their extra folder and post it for me?

Thanks to anyone that can help me out. This has been driving me nuts for at least 2 days.

Is anyone experiencing problems with video acceleration and QE/CI after 10.6.3 with the GMA950 kexts? The resolution is working fine, but the menu bar is no longer translucent and video acceleration is bad..even with just opening menus. I've tried all assortments of kexts for the gma950(27ae) and they all experience the same problem. If you have a fix or know what kexts are the issue please PM me.

Hi List, i am new to OSX86 and have a few questions:

My Idea was to run Snow Leopard on an EeePC 1101HA most of all to run IWEB.

Now i am facing some problems that have to do with the Used Grafkcard (Intel GMA 500) Quartz and Iweb.
Iweb only displays WhitePages which - after a lot of googling - has to do with bthe fact that i cannot enable Quartz/CI. Which has to do with the fact that there is not a real GMA500 driver…
I found one Link on InsanelyMac that pointed to a GMA500Enabler, but that was somehow dead.
So waht do the experts say: Will there be a GMA500 kext/enabler soon ?
Is there any kind of workaround to enable Quartz anyway or to run iWeb ??

I would very much appreciate any comment.
Luigi

Starting to wonder if I should have upgraded to 10.6.3. I'm now having some fairly strange problems when waking from sleep. After it wakes, I get one brief flash of the screen then it goes black and the trackpad no longer responds (but the buttons do!). Luckily I can hit the power button and "r" to restart, or alternatively VNC from another system.

I've tried this with both EvoRestart and VoodooPower. I've tried it with both the binpatched kernel and Chameleon 2.0rc4, and with the vanilla kernel and the NetBookInstaller Chameleon. I don't use any kernel extensions for clamshell sleep, but rather a DSDT patch. Everything worked fine on 10.6.2.

Any ideas?

Soundproblems?

Lagging or distorted sound with a Kernel Panic or simply a freeze? It can be one or two issues with your Eees kexts. I had both. This is for you if are running with VoodooPower and VoodooHDA.

There are sometimes issues with sound when you are on battery. This is a known issue and has been addressed earlier here. The solution is about optimizing the VoodooPower kext, (thx to Thireus and others). Change your VoodooPower kext or download Thireus version (at his page) and replace. This fixes the lagging sound and hanging or KP. (You can try it out by run on battery and drag things in and out from your trash bin. If it lags or freezes, then you are affected.) Change the kext and your back…

If your Smbios.plist file defines that your machine is a MacBookAir and not a Macbook, as mine was first, you might have a distorted sound. When I changed that setting to MacBookAir my music was distorted when I played iTunes or what ever. The fix I've found is to remove AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement kext according to the forum at VoodooLabs here and here.. I removed the kext and haven't had any issues ever since with distorted sound running as a MacBookAir.

EDIT: If you are under, lets say, 10.5.6 and want to upgrade to 10.5.8 the AppleIntelCPUPower… kext is necessary for your upgrade, otherwise KP during installation. So re-install it with KextHelper, upgrade and later remove the new AppleIntel…. kext if you think it's needed.

Hope this can be of any help and if anyone knows more pls comment.

Allegri
