i did now installed iatkos v7 and not ideneb 1.5 .. it seems that i can now use itunes without these issues!

next thing now is to update to 10.5.8. hopefully it works after the update.

Regarding your sound problems there seems to be an issue with VoodooHDA under heavy CPU or IO activity. Just managed today to get a similar problem as you descibe when I was playing from my shared iTunes lib though my wifirouter. I found this thread at VoodooLabs. It might help. Good luck!

i already tried out all versions of itunes (from v. 8 - v.9.0.2) i tried out different versions of osx (10.5.6. - 10.5.8) still the same error, and of course i tried different versions of vooodooHDA.kext.

BUT what is thinking me positive IS, that a had this problem before 6 months , and i FIXED this! but … as i am a human species … -_- i forgot the conclusion… really i could bite me…

my system now is:

eeepc 1000h on ideneb 1.5 10.5.7 with install configuration EEEPC (ideneb install dialog + dsdt.aml which works very well). current bios 1902 mod by alex

i already tried out different versions of ideneb but didnt get these to work properly.

maybe, someone could give me any help:

OR: if there is a tutorial of installing SL on 1000H maybe with all files i need and so on, you could help me with giving me that tut… because in the net i can find a lot of tries, but i dont know which is gonna working well, and you guys are the experienced ones i think!

type :
sudo -s (it will ask your password)
cd / (to go to root)
ls -la (you will see what you have at the root of the drive, a lot of thinks are hidden). You should see an Extra folder.
if you see it just remove it like that :
rm -Rf /Extra (be careful with this command, -R meens recursive and f force).

I have the non-patched 2102 Bios and 1000HE keyboard installed..

I am running the patched 2102 BIOS and matching DSDT file on 10.5.6. I believe I have hotkey enabler kexts running.

Additionally, at the Chameleon bootloader prompt the keyboard will keep entering endless spacebar commands until you press any other key. After that, no spacebar input is recognized. The only application I've found that doesn't like with this mod (crashes after an error message) is Final Draft 7. I have installed Final Draft 6 and still get the error upon startup but it doesn't crash.

Can anyone help?

i used the non-modded standard Asus Bios and ideneb 1.5 (bootet from external DVD Drive) and choosed within the ideneb Menu the option "Chameleon Bootloader" and "Netbook (Asus EEE)" which creates a DSTD.aml file.

I´ve just bought me and eee PC 1000H Black XP Edition and I was already looking forward to install OS X ! It´s a fever !

Well .. I´ve downloaded (from some website I can remember right now) a modded BIOS (according to the website)…
My eeePC came with the BIOS Revision 1206 and I´ve changed it to 1103 in order to fix the looooog boot ! Did I make the right thing… right ? I´ve changed the partitions with Acronis Disk Director, booting Hirens BootCD from a thumb drive. Put iDeneb V 1.4 OSX 10.5.6 on an external USB to IDE adapter connected to an DVD unit, pressed F8 and tried with the following options : cpus=1 -v, -x -v, -x -s -v and … no success !!! :-(

Problem : disk1s2 I/O error AppleUSBEHCI found a transaction completion deadline (If I remember it correctly righ now)

Status : I´ve never got the OSX installation screen ! :-(

Anyone could, please, give me opinions, options, solutions … any of these kind of approaches is valid ! :-(

Please, again, help me to make and old dream come true ! Have a Macbook Nano ! :-)

So 10.6 really recognizes our 1002HA Wifi!!!

I keep up with the research and I found out some issues with GMA 950 and 10.6 Snow Leo… The solution is realesed under 10.6.2 update BUTTTT everyone knows 10.6.2 update drops out ATOM support… SO we're at at dead end by now.

Let's hope ATOM returns to newer versions of the software OR someone build up a GOOD patch that will make it work under 10.6.2.

Finally, I'm using Win7 and I'd like so much to try out Snow leo with dual boot… Let's try to build a 1002HA tutorial for everyone on how to do the clean installation AND DUAL BOOT…. ???

Then you have to install chameleon as boot loader in windows using that..

After install, just put your dsdt.aml file in the root of your mac partition.

Have you windows, or linux, if yes, you could access to your mac partition to install chameleon 2 RC3 manually and put the right kext and dsdt files.

I also have dual boot with win7 on there. Anything I could do with that to make mac bootable?

Does anybody have a "start from scratch" guide on how to install Snow Leopard with the Retail Disc? I have next to no clue what I'm doing.

So after reinstalling my machine during the weekend I found that (which you also found) it seems that it has more to do with the ability to control the screen, (lacking of good kexts?) than the dsdt file it self. Your dsdt files might be good after all. But the catch is that the computer cannot control the screen for a proper sleep.

When I reinstalled 10.5.6 I realised that sleep didn’t work until installed the patched kexts (GMA 950, AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer). When I forced sleep without the kexts, it tried to sleep like Airport hibernated but that’s all. No sleepimage was written and screen was still on. When I installed the kexts, sleep worked with no problems.

So the point seems to be, that for a proper sleep, Mac OS has to control the screen, otherwise no correct sleep or wakeup. I’ll report if I find anything more on this.

I have Core 2 Solo and it's enough for me. It's just cosmetic.

You can find the files here (one for 1 Gb and one for 2 Gb RAM).

If it doesn't work, and if you have windows on your eeepc, install macdrive and replace the kernel with a patched one (you can find voodoo, or others at insanelymac)

You can also reflash your bios with a modified one (alex have made some, you can find them in this forum). You can find the good flashing utility to downgrade your bios in this forum too.

That was actually one of the easier system updates to deal with.

You should also boot in verbose (-v) and say us what you have when it hang.

I run 10.5.8 and when I upgraded the bios to the latest one I did come across the same issue described one post above.

I also have an other issue but I don't think it's dsdt-related, but would like to know if any of you guys have ever experienced it. If you try to take a screenshot of you desktop by using the shortcut CMD-SHIFT-3 you'll end up with a screenshot dump on your desktop.

Now, put you computer to sleep and once you logged back on try to take a screenshot again, it won't work. What do you think it might be the cause?

I've the same issue with brightness fix after sleep. I build the dsdt under snow, but I have the same issue under snow !!

I had the same issue with 2103 dsdt.

What I don't understand is that the brightness fix is correct in my dsdt file. So I don't understand why it doesn't work. Will try to find why and let you know.

and thanks for all your work with the dsdt files. I made an overhaul (changed HD, etc) and also went for the 2204 bios.
Your dsdt worked but I had some issues with sleep. The sceen was black and I had to hit the brightness key to wake it up.
I tired my old 1902 dsdt file (w Hotkey patch) which worked fine regarding sleep and it still works under 2204.

According to MSI new forum (yes it’s resurrected in a new shape) quite extensive dsdt thread, old dsdt works with newer bios, (seems to be the case here) but what is crucial is if it is constructed under Snow or Leo. Just to check, you made these dsdt with Snow? Can be good to know because I’m still under Leo so that might be the issue.

I've used method 2 and (almost) everything is working well. The exception is the ability to control de bluetooth. You refer to a repatch of the bluetooth for power on/off functionality, which seems exactly what I need, but because I'm new in this I don't know exactly what files/method to do that. I arrive to the 10.6.1 system using the procedure explain by eNik. Can you help?

You can update safely your kernel, just replace the sleepenabler with the new one or you will have kernel panics.
