My battery honestly isnt that much better than my stock battery. on my stock battery im getting like 5 hours. on my extended I get 5 hours 40 minutes. The battery was like 60 something dollars so it isn't that bad. There is a HUGE battery like 12000 mah that I have seen for like 60 bucks.

not the greatest experience so far. sometimes my computer detects it, sometimes it doesnt. i dont know if its a connector issue or what. im trying to figure out whats wrong. when i first got it, i shut off my eee and turned it on and it worked. next time i tried to turn it on it didnt. I plugged in my power then powered it up and it worked. no battery was detected on that try.

I am still waiting for it to come. Got mine from ebay and the seller is in China. That battery is only for a 701-900. Won't work on a 901 or 1000.

I am also waiting for this:
http://www.expansys-usa.com/d.aspx?i=170524

It is an external battery charger.

I've been looking at it too.

There seem to be two models out there (two manufacturers I assume) only one of them makes it in black (the color of my eee mac).

If you get it let me know.

-GReg

So I've heard there's an extended battery compatible for the 901, 1000 Eee PC series selling on eBay

http://cgi.ebay.com/8800mA-Extended-Battery-to-Asus-EEE-PC-901-1000-B_W0QQitemZ370092790357QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item370092790357&_trkparms=72%3A1205|39%3A1|66%3A2|65%3A12|240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

Anyone tried this?
Any concerns on safety?
How's performance?

Looks like a cheap price to pay for 8+ hours for my awesome Mac mini….
