I'm having some very strange problems here, trying to install iDeneb 1.3 on my eee 901. I made a bootable USB drive using the tutorial for the 1000h here and it boots fine, but kernel panics as soon as the OSX loading screen comes up. The error messages seemed to be related to the CPU, so I tried changing some of the BIOS settings to see if it would help - turned on hyperthreading and it booted perfectly, except with the wrong screen resolution meaning that I couldn't click any of the buttons to continue the installation. I rebooted, forced the graphics mode to 1024x600 and it went back to the same kernel panic as before. Now whatever I try to do, even with the exact same settings that it was working with previously, it just keeps doing the same thing and won't boot. Any ideas?
OK, that last post can be ignored. After spending a rather long and frustrating time trying to diagnose the problem it turned out to be bad RAM in the machine, hence the seemingly random occurrences of the problems.
