I love this little bugger, it's turned into my sidekick!
However before plunking down the money on a SSD (debating 16gb, or 32gb, 16 is more than enough for my daily needs, 32gb would let me use it as a off-site dump for DSLR/pocket-cam photos) I had a quick question. I do feel odd asking, as I'm really familiar with mac's and hackintoshes, as always had one of each for a while now (notebook being the true Apple).
Is it the SSD (on 8gb slow SSD), that would cause it to just feel generally slow? As CPU doesn't go 100% terribly often, and feels more like a disk issue, but it's even when just reading from the disk. Firefox for example is sluggish if you start scrolling something long it starts to hiccup, or opening tab, typing address, repeating that 4 times in a row, you end up watching it go about it after you've finished typing the last site for ~5 seconds.
I'm on a Eee 901-X (日本人 Version) 12G.
Already swapped for a broadcom card, and 2gb's of patriot memory (only brand I recognized here!).
