Hi here is my dsdt file only for this bios.
It include all the modifications for use with Hotkeys.
Be careful it's for 2 giga RAM, it may not work with 1 G.
If it can help
Works for me :)
Thanks ;)

hi mates!
I'm actually having a frozen OSX (frozen on apple logo on boot) with BIOS 2102 unmodded.
I was wondering how i could have it working, as i can't downgrade…
Seems like i can still install the 2102 BIOS over the 2102 itself.
Do you guys think i can update my bios to a 2102 Modded one (not found) ?
Any help would be really appreciated!
;)
I have the same problem, well i am not 100% sure about the following order:
1. I updated to 10.5.8 (sure)
2. I installed the files from 950GMA 10.5.8. updatepack by thireus and rebooted
3. I updated the BIOS to 2103 vanilla
now everytime i boot i get a frozen Bootscreen (well i can move my mouse)…
This is what i tried:
Downgrade to old BIOS - NOT possible, every try to downgrade bios from 2102 will fail!
searched for modified 2102 BIOS - not available
tried the 2102 dsdt.file by dadaz, still the same (i booted into single user and exchanged file with the terminal)
Im now waiting for an updated version of 2102 BIOS, my last hope i think

PS: first post hurray :D
DSDT is the key.
Are you sure your DSDT is working? http://ipis-osx.wikidot.com/forum/t-122655/ipis-osx
Are your using Chameleon 2 RC2?
Try to install the 10.5.8 version with iDeneb Combo Update

Okay, i got a dsdt with the patcher and placed it too root (didnt applied patches in order to minimize influence of my stupidness :D) but still no luck,
i am using Chameloan 2 RC2 from eniks install bundle; do i have to change something on the default install?
I am now trying to "reupdate" using 10.5.8, still searching for terminal commands ^^
Ok so now you need to get the dsdt dadaz provide and replace your dsdt by this one. ;)
Solutions - Hacks - Apps for your HackinTosh =)
http://thireus.dareyourmind.net/
The update seems to hang…
i used installer —pgk iDeneb…. -target /
it just gives the error _CFGetHostUUIDString: unable to determine UUID for Host. Error:35 and stays
The normal boot hangs with INterfaceNamer: no network interfaces, could not update platform uuid, there are some sound assertion before and a timeout from AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement
I tried dadaz dsdt.aml file before so i am pretty much out of options. I even can't start from scratch because i have no modifed BIOS
:/ I think you should go back to 10.5.7 :(
Then use the proper way to install the iDeneb package updater.

I dont know how to downgrade my leopard installation, i doubt its even possible without a full backup.
I think i'll have to wait for a modified BIOS so i can reinstall iDeneb.
Okay guys, i've managed to get that fixed for me! :-)
I got in the terminal and Replaced all the 950 fixes by thireus in his bundle with the backups!
Rebooted and… working!
Reinstalling thireus fixes with kexthelper breaks my eee again.
Note: It seems that kexthelper didnt install AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer into the extensions folder, but gives no errors.
I placed it manually but got the same bug.
so working eee again but lots of bugs because of wrong kext files…
EDIT: Now THATS strange,
replacing the files from thireus with the backups worked the first time,
reinstalling his files breaks my eee again with the same error
but… replacing the files again with the backups doesnt fix it!
You need to repair permissions if you install a kext manually into the Extensions folder.
Try to install my kext manually and repair permissions, and then tell me.
I have also noticed that Kext Helper fail sometimes.

k, so my new error may come from the manual install,
how can i fix permissions from commandline?, chmod 777 <file> should work too, or not?
mayby some pathnames are too long for kexthelper, i found a folder named AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuf
You can fix all permissions automatically with Disk Utility.
sudo chown -R 0:0 /PATH/YOUREXTENSION.KEXT should work too ;)

Okay this is working for me:
- it boots! YAY!
- video wirth quartz
- basic bluetooth (well can search for devices)
- sound
- normal sleep
- wifi
- brightness hotkeys
- bt/wifi toggle key (wifi only turn off)
- silver keys
what does not
- battery icon does not show "on battery" plus time left
- deep sleep, it just goes to normal sleep
so my problems related to these files are gone :-)
The battery menu and deep sleep issues seem to be prevalent with VoodooBattery/VoodooPower and Mac OS X 10.5.8 (and 10.6). There have been a few posts on Superhai's forum about it, but he hasn't been able to reproduce it as of yet.
would please someone post modded 2102 BIOS ?
Thanks!
It is not needed, use DSDT! :)

how do u use the DSDT file ?
got an howto ? (i'm kinda new on the scene)

It would awesome to have a windows 7 OSX dual boot.
Thanks
scuse me, is this a mod bios??
and do the hotkeys work well?
thank you
Hum… this is original bios right? :D

Who needs modded bios for Win7 ?
Win7 works OOTB
I can confirm that there is no need to patch any BIOS to run Windows lol

Hi,
I've just updated to 10.5.8 with the ideneb delta upgrade, and to the bios 2102 with the DSDT file you posted here, but i've lost the battery icon and the hot keys now doesnt work.
I tried all the fixes from thierus web (thank you thierus, you are great), but nothing… All the rest i think its working fine. I just don't now what to do now. Thank you in advance and excuse my poor english i'm from Spain.
Hum… about the hotkeys if you tried my FIX: HotKeys_Enabler and if it still doesn't work, then it's probably due to your DSDT. :/
Haha! I have an idea! What kind of memory Ram do you have? 1Gb or 2Gb?
Solutions - Hacks - Apps for your HackinTosh =)
http://thireus.dareyourmind.net/
Just 1gb i read something you posted in the enik web about, maybe the best is to install 2gb but the hotkeys are secundary for me. The battery is the principal problem. I have no icon, and the voodoo battery kext instaled and loaded.
Hi,
Ok here are 2 dsdt files the one for 2gb RAM I have posted here and the one for 1gb. This is the only differences. They are both include Hotkeys….
Let me know if it work for you.
It's really simple to make this, you have to have a patched DSDT, the new original DSDT (got it in linux or windows, just search for how to) and a diff utility. I can post a little How-to if someone is interested.
AND ONE MORE TIME THERE IS NO NEED TO HAVE A PATCHED BIOS, ONLY A PATCHED DSDT. The patched bios in this post is for Vista an Win7 crack with OEM stuff (no need for Win7 now but ! )
thank you, it works for me :) If you put any link or a little tutorial i will not disturb you any more. Again, thanks, you are great.
hi mate, sorry can't help yet, but may be u can help me ;)
How do you upgrade to 2102 with this DSDT file ?
Thanks a lot in advance :)
If you already have a dsdt file into your / directory and if you do remember that you ran dsdt patcher one day, then you just need to install the new DSDT dadaz provide, and then update your BIOS.
If you do not know how to use DSDT, then read this thread: http://ipis-osx.wikidot.com/forum/t-122655/ipis-osx
And when it is asked to put a dsdt.aml into your / directory, then put the one dadaz provide ;)
That's it!
DO NOT BOOT OSX WITH A DIFFERENT DSDT FILE! OR IT WILL KILL YOU XD
Solutions - Hacks - Apps for your HackinTosh =)
http://thireus.dareyourmind.net/
Hi and thanks for answer. I never used the patcher
problem is i only have windows right now on my eee
I use 2102 original bios.
what do u think i should do ?
install ideneb 1.4 (will be frozen on apple) and then connect the hdd on a comp with debian and copy the dsdt file on the root of the disk with osx ?
thanks again…
Edit: I guess my problem is difficult, specially for a noob like me.
I can't install OSx so i can't use DSDT :(
I finally got my EeePC working with OSx
As u said, DSDT was the key ;)
It's hard to use DSDT method without beeing able to write onto HFS+ disk (cannot write on HFS+ with Debian and hfsutils)
1°) Installed OSx on a Dell Inspiron 630m (So easy)
2°) Mounted EeePC's HDD (which is HFS+) on the Dell
3°) Copied the dsdt.aml file posted here and the chameleon file (renamed to boot) from the wiki
Worked like a charm ;)
next time try to boot with -s, its the single user mode. then you get into a terminal
then type:
/sbin/fsck -fy
/sbin/mount -uw /
then use mount_msdos /dev/disk1s1 /mountfolder (or mount, i've created a special msdos usb boot stick for flashing my bios ^^) to get access to a usb stick
with cp -R /mountfolder/dsdt.aml /dsdt.aml you can copy the file to the right place :)
I got frozen at apple logo too…
Under Windows you can use "HFS Explorer" or "MacDrive 7" to access your HFS+ partitions :)
I wanted to tell you but I had to go. ;)
Thanks both of you for sharing =) you're not a noob anymore :)
It's always better to let people investigate rather than giving them the solution because they learn more this way ;)

Thanks a lot Thireus! it would have been much faster than installing osx on another comp :P
People from #hackint0sh doomed me xD / treating me big noob without helping anyway :(
I noticed that most of howtos (all ?) consider u already have a working/booting OSx to copy files
Thanks a lot guys (specially you, Thireus) :) You gave me a line
Now i have to find a way to get my wifi working cuz I installed the dmg but it doesn't scan, i'll post in another place
take care
EDIT: Btw,
HFS Explorer access hfs+ partition read-only (same thing on debian with hfsprogs)
MacDrive 7's not compatible with Win7 (even with compatibility set)
I guess i've been lucky installing OSx on another comp ;)
Currently I am on modded bios 1103. I'd like to update to 2102, but before I do, I have one question. If I were to re-do my OSX install from scratch, how would this change the installation procedure. Would I have to go through the install, boot into single user mode, and copy the DSDT file to the root directory before it would boot into the system?
You have to install a retail (see my how-to or a lot of other ones in this forum) with a bootloader (as chameleon or PC-EFI9 or 10) which use dsdt.aml.
Or use any ideneb or IPC (I think) with a modded kernel (as voodoo one) for the install. But I prefer the retail install.
you don't need to wipe HD completely (if you mean you want to keep your windows partition and mbr) you have to modify a file on Leo DVD to allow you to install it on mbr (works with snow leo too).
here is the how to :
1. Open terminal and type: "defaults write com.apple.Finder AppleShowAllFiles YES"
2. Restart finder by holding the option key and right clicking (or click and hold the left mouse button) the finder icon in the dock. Select "Restart Finder".
3. In terminal type "xar" to see if xar is installed. *Note* to compile and install xar you will need xcode tools to be installed.
4. If it is not installed (command not found), download it from:
5. http://code.google.com/p/xar/downloads/list
6. Install xar by going to the directory you extracted it to and typing in terminal:
CODE
./configure
make
sudo make install
(you must have xcode installed, but in generally xar is installed by default)
7. Create a folder "OSInstall" on your desktop
8. From your Disk image, copy the file /system/installation/packages/OSInstall.mpkg to the folder you just created.
9. In terminal, type "cd ~/desktop/OSInstall" and then "xar -x -f ./OSInstall.mpkg"
10. Move the file OSInstall.mpkg out of your OSInstall folder and back onto the desktop.
11. Open the file in your OSInstall folder "Distribution" in textedit.
12. Delete the line "eraseOptionAvailable='true'" (it's near the beginning)
13. Save and close the file.
14. In terminal, make sure you are in your OSInstall folder and type:
"xar -c -f OSInstall.mpkg *"
Replace the original OSInstall.mpkg with the one you modify.
After that if you want finder hide files again just type :
defaults write com.apple.Finder AppleShowAllFiles NO
I do that after restoring dvd image on my usb installation drive
Would it be possible then to add Chameleon and a known-good /Extra folder and boot this USB drive on an Eee? I'm having major problems at the moment (Boot-132 CD won't transfer control to my Leo DVD; iDeneb is KP'ing), and this would help a lot. Do you have any idea of the same method of installing on MBR will work for Snow Leopard?
Absolutely, this method works with snow leo (I must verify with the last build).
If you want to make a boot USB disk ,just follow the how-to I posted some times ago. If you want I can post my actualized /Extra and Chameleon 2 RC2.
To make an usb install disk which enable mbr install, just restore image or dvd on the usb, install chameleon on it, copy /Extra and modify OSInstall.mpkg (not pkg, it's very important) on the USB.
You must have done a FAT32 partition under XP
And during install, you have just to reformat this partition in HFS+ with diskutil.
Excellent. I'm looking forward to upgrading my main Leo partition to Snow soon, and as it's on an MBR disk (I had some problems with Windows installs and GPT way back when), I needed a workaround. Partitions are already set up of course, and I should have a valid /Extra folder already, since I've essentially converted my iDeneb install to retail.
I should also mention that having such a disk is critical if you ever need to restore a Time Machine backup. There's no way to do a whole-disk restore except from the Leopard installer.
Now if only I knew whether 10A432 was *really* the golden master or not. I suppose I'll know when the box arrives on my doorstop in a few (one?) week(s).
oh wow, thanks for that tip. i may have to dive into that when 10.6 arrives. since i JUST re-did my install, i really don't want to go back and do it again, haha.
dadaz, unfortunately, I'm finding that removing the "eraseOptionAvailable" from OSInstall.mpkg does NOT allow installing onto MBR under 10A432. I made the change (and double, triple, etc checked it), and I am still blocked from installing on any MBR-based partition. The installer says it must be formatted GUID.
could anyone put a link or a tutorial about how to make DSTS files? hotkeys doesnt work for me (brigthness ok, but volume not), because my keyboard is spanish i think. I want to learn how to work with DSTS. Thanks in advance.
Edit: im also getting a black screen on photobooth… any idea? (skype, ichat, works well)
I'll try to post one later tomorrow
You're welcome. You should read the post of pentiumc (link in my how-to) it's really interesting.
For snow leo and CMOS reset bug, I think EeePC are not conserned, because, RTC section is already OK for me (we have to modify lenght from 4 to 2 in RTC section).
hi,
I have an EEEPC 1000HA, ( From Bios Update = Model 1000H, Version 2102, Chipset Calistoga, Data 7/21/2009 14:54:43, Bios Type AMI, Bios Size 512 K )
I would like to install OSX on this sistem. I have read a couple of post here, but i am kinda of confused. Could someone give a light 1-2-3, as to what needs to be done to make this EEEPC 1000HA work with OSX. IT already has 2Gigs of Ram, and the original hard drive, I also have an external DVD from SAMSUNG.
I tried installing some version of ideneb, the installation ran pretty fast, until the time to boot, i received the apple logo and the computer halted on the apple logo. Everytime i re-started i would get the same apple logo halted.
Thus, i went back to partition 3 where the image is for XP and re-installed the XP OS. But, i need to install OSX.
Could someone explain the steps. Is it worth it ?
Thanks, your help is appreciated.
Thanks
Frank
