Ok, I tried reading everything I could before I made a thread, so I don't think the answer to this has been posted.
I have a 1000H with 2GB of ram running the latest BIOS (2204). I installed iDeneb 10.5.5 and it installed perfectly…I guess. It just sticks on the boot screen. The obvious answer is to install the hacked bios, which I've attempted to do via a number of methods with no luck.
I tried the ALT + F2 method, and I get "Too old or incompatible". I tried a variety of dos based installers, and they give me a "Bad Boot Block" error, despite trying a few different ROMS, (Alex's from the tutorial and osroms). I tried installing XP SP3 and using the Asus Update utility, and I get the "Too old or incompatible" error too.
I'm out of ideas. Is there any way I can install OS X again, then install something like GRUB and use that to boot OS X for long enough to install the correct DSDT?
I found a DSDT patcher application too, but I don't know enough about it to know if I can use it to install my patched DHDT file. Will that work?
